We’ve all tried to play clowns in a Volkswagen with the stuff we accumulate in this hobby. How many pens actually fit in this 6 pen case? How many swatch cards can go in this repurposed tin that was originally the package for something else?
I recently saw this Delfonics bag while shopping for other things. You know how it is. You’re not in the market for something (I assuredly don’t need to be in the bag/pouch market) but feel seduced by a large number of pockets and uncomplicated aesthetic. It can hold stuff and looks nice?

When it arrived, I had a clown car moment. Given the number of pockets on this bag and the various sizes of notebooks I own, how many can go in there.
Starting the front, we’ve got four.
The backside adds five more.
The party keeps going inside.
What’s our grand total? 19 notebooks.
You see 18 covers but the Leuchtturm is a two pack.
Three A5s, some A6s, and a wide assortment of others. I suppose something else tiny like a Rhodia #10 could sneak in the back pocket, but this felt sufficient and the bag was probably getting anxious. I, on the other hand, have no anxiety because I now own a bag that can hold exactly 19 notebooks.
