Home Front — August Notes #2

A few weeks ago, we saw work pens. This time it’s a look at pens that do most of the writing at home.

These have all been excellent writers and a pleasure to use. I want to keep going with them but I know I’ll get the itch to change out for something else. There are pens unused for a while that I want to pick up again like the Sheaffer Old Timer and Scribo La Dotta. Why not just ink them now alongside these? I find it tends to diminish the sense of using and enjoying each pen if I have more than a few going at once. Some will languish and weeks later I’ll think it a shame I didn’t use them more. If I keep the number of loaded pens small, that scenario is typically avoided. More reason to keep paring the collection down, I think. Make the choices fewer but better and more satisfying.
